Temperature & Pressure Guide
Optimal settings for different materials. Maximize output and quality with these proven parameters.
Quick Reference Chart
| Material | Temp (°F) | Pressure (PSI) | Time (sec) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Material | 190-210 | 1000-1500 | 60-90 |
| Mid-Grade Material | 210-230 | 1500-2000 | 45-60 |
| Dry Sift | 160-180 | 500-1000 | 30-45 |
| Washed Material | 170-190 | 500-1500 | 30-60 |
Key Principles
Lower Temps = Better Flavor
Sub-200°F preserves more aromatics and produces a more flavorful output. The trade-off is slightly lower output.
Gradual Pressure
Start with minimal pressure to warm the material, then gradually increase. This prevents blowouts and improves consistency.
Don't Over-Press
Once the flow stops, additional pressing only introduces source material. Stop when you see diminishing returns.
